What is ITI?
ITI (Industrial Training Institute) is a vocational training institute
established by the Government of India to provide technical education
and practical skills to students after Class 8th, 10th, or 12th.
ITI courses help students become skilled workers and improve their

Establishment of ITI
The Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) was introduced in 1950 by the
Government of India. ITIs were established to develop skilled manpower
for industries and support the country's industrial growth.
